Gusto's World Cup Warning: "I Want to Be Amongst the Best in the World"
Gusto isn't here to warm the bench — Chelsea's right-back is gunning for a World Cup starting spot.
He's not in the France squad to make up the numbers — Malo Gusto has his eyes firmly on a starting spot in the US.
Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto is making his ambitions crystal clear. "I'm not with Les Bleus to sit on the bench my whole life. I want to be a starter," he told Téléfoot. "My goal is to be the best in the world in my position."
Standing in his way is Jules Koundé — but Gusto isn't shying away from the fight. With two assists in his last appearance, 34 games for Chelsea this season, and four consecutive international call-ups, he's building a strong case for a place on the plane to North America this summer.
