Toney: "My Numbers Speak for Themselves" — Al-Ahli Star Makes His Case for England's World Cup Squad
58 goals in 76 games — Toney is making a noise from Saudi Arabia and he wants Tuchel to hear it.
Out of the Premier League, out of the England picture — but far from out of contention.
Ivan Toney hasn't been capped since June 2025, but the 29-year-old isn't quietly fading away. The Al-Ahli forward is the Saudi Pro League's top scorer this season with 20 goals in 20 games — ahead of Ronaldo, João Félix, and Retegui — and has racked up 58 goals in just 76 appearances since leaving England.
"My numbers speak for themselves," Toney told Sky Sports News, making clear he believes his form is enough to earn a place on Tuchel's plane this summer. Despite links to a Premier League return in January, he's staying put — happy, settled, and scoring for fun.
Tuchel may prefer players in a more competitive league. But ignoring a striker in that kind of form won't be easy either.
